Beatriz Canamary

Civil engineer with a Doctorate in Business Administration specialized in ports implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Beatriz is a Business Analytics Professor at Florida Polytechnic University and a consultant in sustainability, decarbonization, and circular economy including digital technologies.

• Led the Strategic Project of Joint Venture between Ceara, Brazil and Port of Rotterdam, Netherlands, including valuation, negotiation, due diligences, contract signing, closing, and post-merger integration, promoting a self-sustaining, profitable and growing company. Organization became more competitive in global landscape with profits increasing over 8% year.

• Executive Diretor responsible for engineering and maintenance of the Port, including infrastructure and superstructure. Determined and redesigned the Strategic Plan and Investment Plan. Generated business plans to implement infrastructure projects, such as transportation facilities; oil, gas and energy; minerals and steel facilities. Collaborated with and received bids from global companies. Determined appropriateness of business plans aligning with organization’s strategic goals, impacting in duplicating Port cargo throughput.

• Assessed Risk and managed a Portfolio of Infrastructure Projects for steel mill industry of $5.4B, from a joint venture between Vale, Posco & Dongkuk.

• Managed the sustainable Prosamin Program funded by IDB and Amazonas State, valuing +$800m USD, to improve living conditions for families living along polluted creeks (known as igarapés) on the state of Amazonas, Brazil.

• Supervised diverse construction of commercial & residential real estate for private equity firms and construction of public assets, valuing +$1bi BRL, monitoring progress and time schedule, quality control, safety precautions and environmental impacts.
